EID MUBARAK
As the blessed month of Ramadan draws to a close, we stand at the threshold of Eid; a day of gratitude, reflection, and renewed commitment to the values that define us as an Ummah.
This Eid comes at a time when the world is witnessing immense turmoil and uncertainty. The ongoing conflict involving America, Israel, and Iran reminds us that humanity continues to struggle with the consequences of war and injustices.
Across many parts of the world, innocent lives continue to be disrupted by violence and instability.
The genocide in Palestine continues unabated.
This Ramadan Masjidul Aqsa remains closed.
In such times, the message of Eid becomes even more powerful: a message of mercy over hatred, compassion over indifference, and unity over division.
For us at JHESS, this year carries special significance as we commemorate 110 years of service.
We reflect on a remarkable legacy built by generations before us — men and women who believed that faith must translate into service to humanity.
For more than a century, JHESS has stood as a beacon of hope within our
community. Through the generosity of our donors and the tireless efforts of our volunteers:
- Food parcels continue to reach families facing hardship.
- Bursaries empower deserving students to pursue education and break cycles of poverty.
- Orphans, among the most vulnerable in our society, receive care, support, and dignity.
These acts of kindness are not merely charity; they are living expressions of the spirit of Ramadan.
Allah reminds us in the Qur’an:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed of grain that grows seven ears; in every ear are a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies the reward for whom He wills. And Allah is All-Encompassing and All-Knowing.” Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261)
To our donors whose generosity makes this work possible — we extend our deepest gratitude. Your contributions are more than financial support; they are seeds of hope planted in the lives of countless families. May Allah multiply your rewards and place barakah in your wealth and your families.
To our volunteers and members who quietly serve behind the scenes — you embody the prophetic teaching that “the best of people are those who are most beneficial to others.”
As we celebrate Eid with our families and loved ones, let us remember those who cannot celebrate in comfort — the displaced, the oppressed, the orphan, and the struggling family next door.
Let this Eid renew within us a deeper sense of responsibility to one another. May it strengthen our commitment to building communities defined not by conflict, but by compassion; not by division, but by justice, dignity, and mercy.
As JHESS enters the next chapter of its 110-year journey, we remain guided by the values that have sustained this organisation for generations: faith, service, and sincere care for those in need.
Together, with the continued support of our donors, volunteers, and community, we pray that this legacy of service will continue to grow and inspire future generations.
May Allah accept our fasting, our prayers, and our charity. May Allah SWT grant peace to a troubled world, relief to those who are suffering, and unity to our Ummah.
Eid Mubarak to you and your families!
Warm regards
