Ms Shanaaz Gire
Shanaaz was elected onto the executive this year. She holds a leadership position for the past two decades at a leading financial institution, focusing on strategic and operational implementation. She wishes to play a role in JHESS by supporting its many community-based initiatives and adding value to the organisation. She enjoys travelling with her family and making new memories
Dr Rabia Cariem
Rabia was elected onto the executive this year. She is a medical doctor and serves in the public health sector. Rabia has been involved with JHESS previously and we are delighted that she is serving on the executive because we believe she can add great value to the variety of projects that we manage. She enjoys reading, outdoor activities, travelling and being exposed to new experiences and different cultures. She believes that empowerment of any individual, young or old, through education or skills’ training is vital so that they are able to sustain themselves independently.
Mr Nur Mohamed Mowzer
Nur Mohamed was elected onto the executive this year. He is an enterprise architect and IT consultant He has assisted JHESS in the past on various projects. Now that he serves on the executive, he is a welcome addition and will be able to play a bigger role and contribute to our many projects. He is keen to assist JHESS reach and alleviate more individuals’ social, educational and humanitarian needs.
Mr Sameer Cornelius
Sameer was elected onto the executive this year. He works for an IT company. He is also the co-founder of a small business called SAF Soundz, a lighting and audio-visual service provider. He was inspired by the work and projects that JHESS is involved in and decided to contribute towards the organisation’s success. We are delighted that Sameer is on board and are confident that he will make a difference to enhancing JHESS’s projects. He enjoys travelling, sound engineering, volunteering, photography and sports.
Mr Anwar Janjirker (Abdurahman)
Anwar was elected onto the executive this year. He is a Chartered Account by profession and is currently the Chief Financial Officer for a large energy company based in Cape Town covering the USA, Africa, Pakistan and the Middle East.
We are indeed pleased that Anwar has joined the JHESS team because young members are important in our succession planning programme to take JHESS to greater heights.
