Muharram Mubarak 1447/27 June 2025
لسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
As we bid farewell to the sacred season of Hajj and enter the blessed month of Muharram, we find ourselves once again at the threshold of a new Islamic year — a moment of reflection, renewal, and resolve.
We congratulate those who were honoured to perform Hajj this year. May Allah accept their pilgrimage, purify their hearts, and allow them to return as new-borns in faith and purpose. For those who were not able to go, may Allah grant you the opportunity in the near future. Ameen
Muharram is no ordinary month. It is a month of reverence, of history, and of pain. It is a timeless lesson in standing up against falsehood, no matter the cost.
It reminds us of the eternal stand of Sayyiduna Husayn (RA) in Karbala — a stand not just against tyranny, but for truth, justice, and dignity. His sacrifice is not bound by time or geography.
His courage echoes today in the hearts of the oppressed — from the besieged people of Gaza, who are facing an unrelenting genocide, to the silenced voices across Sudan, Somalia, Kashmir, Myanmar and beyond.
We are living in a world dominated with lies, aggression, double standards and no respect for human values as the people of Iran has undergone in recent weeks with the unwarranted aggression of the Imperial forces.
Jhess, a 109-year-old organisation of service and social responsibility is on the threshold of celebrating 110 years of service to our communities next year.
Let us use these sacred days to draw closer to Allah, to uphold justice, and to extend our hands to those in need.
Let us teach our children that Islam is not just prayer and pilgrimage, but also standing firm for truth — even if we stand alone.
May this Muharram be a source of peace for your homes, clarity for your hearts, and strength for our Ummah.
Wassalamu ‘alaykum WA Rahmatullah
