From the Chairperson’s deskلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ Allah is Great Allah is Great Allah is Great Eid Mubarak to all On behalf of the JHESSS Executive and Members, we wish you a blessed and joyous Eid Mubarak. We express our gratitude to Allah SWT for having blessed us to witness another Eid together in solidarity with millions of guests of Allah SWT who have gathered on the plains of Arafat. We also remember all the Marhooms that have returned to Allah SWT – May Allah grant them the highest abode in Jannah, forgive all their shortcomings, and shower them with His mercy Inshaallah. We once again wish to thank our donors for their continuous support whereby we were able to bring joy to all our beneficiary widows and children with food parcels this Eid. Eid ul Adha is significant in the recognition of Allah’s oneness and therefore unity amongst the Muslim Ummah is paramount. From the Chairperson’s desk لسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ Allah is Great Allah is Great Allah is Great Eid Mubarak to all On behalf of the JHESS Executive and Members, we wish you a blessed and joyous Eid Mubarak. We express our gratitude to Allah SWT for having blessed us to witness Ramadan 1444 and granted us the opportunity to share and care for one another. This year we had the opportunity to host 120 Orphans during the first week of Ramadan and through your generosity we distributed 748 Food Parcels to the most deserving recipients. We were inspired that we could share in the joy of 15 Children that fasted for the 1st time this year. May Allah continue to bless and guide them. We also acknowledge your contributions towards our Bursary Fund which is our Society’s flagship project supporting 23 students this year. We remain indebted to all our donors who have remained committed to supporting our various projects. We pray that Allah grants you an abundance of Baraka and Khair Ameen. From the Chairperson’s desk Ramadan Mubarak 1444 ٱلسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ At the outset, we wish to express our gratitude to Allah SWT for having blessed us with the glorious month of Ramadan 1444. Over the past three years with the COVID pandemic, we suffered from loss of lives and livelihoods for many families. We pray that Allah grants all our departed Marhooms Jannatul Firdaus Insha’allah. Families remain destitute and many are slowly recovering from the loss of lives and livelihoods. May Allah continue to show His infinite mercy on us and may we derive the maximum spiritual benefits of this auspicious month of Ramadan. During this difficult period, the JHESS fraternity has shown tremendous solidarity with the less fortunate and supported our initiatives with the highest commitment and sincerest empathy. We remain thankful and acknowledge your continued support. Whilst we have resumed some degree of normalcy we still remain cautious and have limited our social engagements. However, we have continued with our programs namely the provision of bursaries; distribution of food parcels; and assisting the orphans. This year we have sponsored bursaries again to 12 beneficiaries that we supported last year and 11 new applicants for the year 2023. Our Food Parcel campaign target for this year 2023 is +/- 1,500 food parcels. As you are aware the full amount contributed is distributed as we do this on a purely voluntary basis. We do not apply any administration fee. May Allah reward you and our members.
